The bulk of the week was nomination filings for the upcoming cycle, with around 20 candidacy documents landing across a broad slate of projects: Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Manila, Heat, Cyborg, Watcher, Barbican, Swift, Tacker, QA, Storlets, Cloudkitty, Vitrage, Adjutant, Sunbeam, OSA, Puppet OpenStack, and the OpenStack Charms. Most projects saw a single PTL nominee submit their statement.

TC candidacies. Four candidacies were filed for Technical Committee seats in the 2027.1 election, from contributors representing a mix of operator and developer backgrounds.

Tooling. The election helper scripts saw a non-trivial refactor: contributor recording was extracted into its own function (~330 lines of churn across two changes), and the owners CLI had its options sorted by short alias for consistency. The election repo took in fifteen candidacy filings for the 2027.1 cycle, spanning a broad slice of the project map: Openstack-Helm, Trove, Zaqar, Octavia, OpenStackSDK, Designate, Magnum, Keystone, Zun, Blazar, Telemetry, Kolla, Mistral, and Rally… PTL candidacies for 2027.1. The election repo took in fifteen candidacy filings for the 2027.1 cycle, spanning a broad slice of the project map: Openstack-Helm, Trove, Zaqar, Octavia, OpenStackSDK, Designate, Magnum, Keystone, Zun, Blazar, Telemetry, Kolla, Mistral, and Rally. One TC candidacy landed alongside the PTL filings. The Openstack-Helm submission dominated the churn at +96 lines, while most other candidacies came in between 10 and 30 lines.

Project roster adjustment. Venus was removed from the 2027.1 election, trimming the list of projects contesting PTL seats this cycle.
