openstack/rally — Week of 2026-08-15

Backward-compat repair. The bulk of the week centered on undoing breakage introduced by the 5.1.0 release. A revert of "Remove deprecated modules" restored ~600 lines of previously-deleted code, and a follow-up specifically targeted the backward-incompatible change shipped in 5.1.0. A changelog correction for rally-openstack 1.4.0 landed alongside the actual 5.1.0 release proposal.

Docs. A sizable pass reworked the documentation (+410/-212), and publishing triggers for the docs pipeline were repaired. Smaller fixes cleaned up outdated import paths in the plugin documentation, corrected a scenario argument description for resource types, and fixed plugin category name display.

CI. A one-line fix repaired the rally-task-simple job.
